Minecraft Hosting — Infrastructure Performance Upgrade

Major performance upgrade for Minecraft hosting with improved CPU boost behavior, new AMD EPYC 9015 nodes, and enhanced overall server responsiveness.

Minecraft Hosting — Infrastructure Performance Upgrade

We are deploying a major infrastructure upgrade across our Minecraft hosting platform, focused on improving single-thread performance, stability, and real-time responsiveness for all servers.

This upgrade introduces higher boost frequencies, newer CPU architecture, and improved workload handling, ensuring smoother gameplay and more consistent performance under load.

Existing Nodes — AMD EPYC 9124 (Enhanced Boost Performance)

Our existing nodes powered by AMD EPYC 9124 processors are being optimized to fully utilize their dynamic boost capabilities.

Previously operating at a fixed 3.0 GHz base clock, these CPUs will now scale up to 3.7 GHz boost frequencies depending on workload conditions.

This allows the system to dynamically adjust performance based on demand, rather than remaining limited to base frequency.

Performance Impact

• Improved single-core performance, critical for Minecraft server workloads • More stable TPS during peak player activity • Faster chunk generation and world loading • Reduced lag spikes and improved tick consistency

New Generation Nodes — AMD EPYC 9015

We are also introducing new nodes powered by AMD EPYC 9015 processors, built on a newer architecture designed for higher efficiency and performance.

These CPUs operate at a 3.6 GHz base clock and can boost up to 4.1 GHz, delivering significantly improved per-core performance for demanding Minecraft environments.

Combined with DDR4 memory, these nodes are optimized for consistent long-term performance and operational stability.

Key Advantages

• Higher boost frequencies for improved real-time processing • Better workload handling for multiple servers per node • Increased efficiency and scheduling consistency • Enhanced stability for long-running server instances

Platform-Level Optimizations

In addition to CPU improvements, several platform-level optimizations are being implemented to maximize performance:

• Improved CPU frequency scaling and allocation • Optimized resource distribution across nodes • Enhanced cache utilization for faster data access • Infrastructure-level tuning for sustained workloads

What This Means for Your Server

These upgrades provide direct improvements to your Minecraft hosting experience:

• Higher and more stable TPS • Reduced latency spikes and smoother gameplay • Faster chunk loading and world processing • Improved performance for plugins, modpacks, and larger player bases • Greater overall reliability and uptime

Deployment Notice

This upgrade is being rolled out automatically across all nodes and does not require any action from your side.
